The wise men of old knew this and that is probably why most of the world's sacred and influential texts have been in the form of songs, legends and poems. Examples that readily come to mind are the Hindu Mahabharata (an epic song), the Muslim Koran or Qu'ran (inspired poetry) and the biblical Song of Solomon and Psalms - indeed, the Bible is replete with narratives! These media have the peculiar power to teach lessons, to reveal possibilities, to communicate ideals, to motivate and to influence (even at the potent subconscious level) beyond what mere instructions can do. Parables, anecdotes, sayings and axioms serve to concisely transmit the wisdom distilled from time-tested experiences than may be apparent from their brevity. We shall now revert to the use of stories and similar media in an attempt to holistically communicate the nine keys of effective spirituality as applied to the mastery of all circumstances. Please note that these virtues often overlap and it is rarely that only one key is operated in isolation. I mean, it would be hard for a person to be full of love and not at the same time not have any joy; or for a person to be filled with the certainty that faith bestows without thereby experiencing peace, and so on.
