Without harmony within the body there is disease and this tends to retard growth. Also, a balanced relationship between the inner self and its outward expression in essential if a person is to function free from any serious neurosis. Thus, a balanced and integrated personality becomes a proper channel for the highest power and intelligence of Life. This manifests as creative and original thinking. This ORIGINALITY and INTEGRITY , therefore, represent the esoteric meaning of stillness as it relates to the mastery of existence. When confronted with a problem, you must first think for yourself – ponder on how it could be solved – thereafter, you may seek to research how others have solved the same or a similar problem. Often, you would be pleasantly surprised to find that the solution that had occurred to you in your mind is as good as (or better than) that proffered by others. At the very least, your reflection would enable you to fine-tune and adapt the solution you uncover through research to your peculiar situation. *Eccl. 26:3 “If you do not get it from yourself, where will you go for it?” – Zen saying
