Patience clarifies vision...
Through patience we often arrive at the solutions to problems which defy the application of our brainpower.
For instance, how would you change a sapling to a tree? How would you change midnight to midday or a boy into a grown man? How about if you endure?
When we talk of endurance we are dealing with time. Time often brings about change. However, if we only wait, time may not bring the specific change that we desire.
While waiting, therefore, we must demonstrate our commitment to our goal – for instance, by watering the sapling or caring for the boy so that they survive to maturity.
It is this COMMITMENT shown by persistent effort that is the esoteric meaning of this attribute, that vanquishes what brains alone can not. Any noteworthy achievement began as an idea – it only became physically manifest by being nurtured over time...
“Time is the wisest of things because it finds out everything”
- Thales (624 – 546) Ancient Greek Philosopher.
